Why would a southern boy from Alabama, his Texan wife, and their son move from everything they’ve ever known to plant a life-giving church in the Treasure Valley of Idaho?  That’s a great question. Outside of the fact that we love potatoes, we prayed.  A lot.  Looking at a map of the United States, we continually asked God for clarity and wisdom, and after several months of conversation and prayer, we couldn’t get our eyes off of the state of Idaho.

During our first visit to the Treasure Valley we arrived at a scenic overlook called Table Rock.  We can remember the scene vividly.  As my wife and I began to near the cross that overlooks the entire city, we overheard a man crying out to God.  In tears, vulnerable and completely broken, he shouted “God, please forgive me.  Will anybody please help me? Amanda, I’m sorry!  Please, don’t go.  Please, don’t leave.  God help me!  Will anyone please tell me what I need to do to get my family back?  I’m sorry.  I’m so sorry!”  Listening to this one man’s cry for help broke our hearts.  In this one moment, we encountered one life who needed to experience love, hope, and healing and it’s what God used to confirm in us a calling, compassion, and love for a city we had just met.

At One Life Church, we exist to reach and influence people with the love and life-giving message of Jesus.

With the help of the initial dream team, 55 people committed to seeing the dream of One Life Church become a reality on September 16, 2018.

From the beginning, One Life Church has focused on helping people do four things:

Know God through weekend experiences that are real, relevant, radiant, and refreshing.

Find freedom by bringing people together in life-giving relationships in small groups.

Discover their design through the process of Discover.

Experience a fulfilled life making a difference in the lives of others by doing what they were created and designed by God to do on the Dream Team.

We invite you to see for yourself how exciting church can be when the focus is simple and people are free to seek God with passion.
