One Life Church Family and Friends,

First off, I want you to know how much I love you.  You are on my heart and mind every day.  In this season of uncertainty in our nation I want you to know that we have certainty in our God.

Psalm 18:2 NLT says, “The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.”

My hope in this season is that you will draw close to God and close to each other as we we walk through this unprecedented time in our nation one day at a time putting our trust and faith in our God who is faithful.

2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) tell us that “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”

After much prayer and guidance from our overseers, local government, and Southwest District Health officials, we wanted to make you aware that for the next few weeks we are MOVING our weekend experience to an online platform located right here on our website.  The worship experience will include worship, a life-giving message, and an incredible Kids Life experience for you and your family.

We are excited for you to join us online this weekend at 10:00 a.m. as we continue our series Running with the Giants.

One last thought.  In this season of social distancing I want to remind you to not be socially disconnected.  We are the church, not a building or a venue. We are the people of God and let us, more now than ever, be the hands and feet of Jesus. Reach out to all of your family, friends, small group members, and neighbors to show them the love of God. Remind them that they are not alone, that we are here for each other, and we’re going to get through this because Jeremiah 29:11 NLT tells us “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”

God has a future and a plan for you and it’s good!   Be encouraged and know that we’ll all look back on these days over the next few years and be able to tell the stories of God’s goodness and faithfulness through it all.

In the meantime, remember the words of the Lord Joshua 1:9 (NLT) “… be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Again, thank you for your continued generosity.  Your faithful giving is making a difference in our community and it’s allowing us to continue to meet the needs of our church family as well as those in the community who are directly impacted by the COVID-19 virus.

I look forward to seeing you online this Sunday at 10am at olc.church.
